About me…

My name is Amy Wall and I’m from Cashmere Washington. When I was a little girl I started painting and drawing all over my bedroom walls. My uncle, the painter, said “Amy, it’s fine to paint on your walls! It can always be painted over!” My mom was not happy about me painting murals all over my walls. I think I felt freedom that day to explore and become an artist.

I grew up painting murals for the Cashmere soccer team and in our mural class. I was commissioned to do a rock wall painting at Arlberg Sports, an annotated time-line of history for my history teacher, and custom underwater art for my aunt Suzzy Robinson for her dive buisness.. Through my college years I sold abstract art at the local coffee shops in Tacoma. I dried and painted fruit skins, and glued parts and pieces of glass to canvas. My family started to commission me to paint big canvases.

In 2007, I married a local boy, Chris Wall. We had a huge wedding at Warm Springs Inn. My wedding was the first wedding of our huge family. We did not know what a florist was or could do, or how much flowers cost. We did most of my wedding flowers with the help of a few friends and ordered them all from Safeway! Well, my family of siblings started to also get married. I was asked to make some wedding decor (arch, fabric swag, stars, and signs) and haul them to Portland on a snowmobile trailer. When the wedding was over I said to myself- it took me so long to make the curly willow arch I think I’ll rent it out! This is how it all began! For the last 7 years I’ve enjoyed designing, creating, and proving florals for events.

I love flowers! I’ve learned most of the common ones and also love learning about how they grow, where they grow, and how long they last in a vase. When I am designing flowers for a 100 degree wedding day, the long levity of the flower is REALLY important. I have found that you can’t just go pick the flowers and greenery on the side of the road for the wedding because they probably will be wilting in about 1 hour! I have a good friend and grower, Julie McWiggins, that I can pick flowers from during the summer months. I also grow flowers in my own yard to use. I love growing peonies, hydrangeas, roses, and hostas. I love to use local florals in at least 50% of the floral design when available.

I would love to get creative with you for your next event! I would love to plan, design, implement or photograph your next event! I have a passion for making your wedding or event beautiful and special. I think pretty flowers really add a lot to the overall look. Flowers are the “jewels” of the party. Flowers are very personal and they always make people smile. My goal is to sprinkle a little salt of “art” to all who need it.

God has given me a love for people, and talent of creating. He has given me the desires of my heart. My hope is that you will be encouraged and you will see God’s love and beauty through my art. I could not do any of this without my husband! He helps me load the trailer, unpack the flowers, brings me hot coffee when I’m making bouquets, and has a drone to make the coolest videos! The boys, James and Jax, keep us running - so don’t be surprised to see them motorcycling around the yard when you come to pick up your florals or rentals! Cheers and BE SALTY!
